Discovering What’s Beneath to Support Real Healing

You may be someone navigating anxiety, depression, inattention, burnout, or life stress while trying to make sense of your mental health.

Maybe you’ve felt unheard, rushed through appointments, or unsure whether medication is the only option available to you. Perhaps you’ve been searching for care that takes the time to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface.

If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

SHAINA LABONTE, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

I created Full Bloom because mental health care should feel collaborative, intentional, and personalized, not one-size-fits-all.

My name is Shaina LaBonte, and I am board-certified as both a Family and Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Here at Bloom, I provide psychiatric care for adults across Massachusetts primarily via telehealth.

I help adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, and mood concerns find personalized paths towards lasting mental wellness. My approach integrates traditional, evidence-based psychiatry with functional medicine, so we can explore not only symptoms but the deeper factors that may be influencing your mental well-being.

My diverse clinical experience over the past 15 years has provided me with a well-rounded perspective on both physical and mental health.

I value ongoing education and training, having completed Certification in Nutrition & Mental Health through Mass. General Hospital, coursework through the Institute for Functional Medicine, and am enrolled in an ongoing functional psychiatry fellowship that includes live mentorship and clinical discussions with a well-respected, local, and experienced psychiatrist and leader in functional psychiatry.

Story

Where it Started

After 15 years working in healthcare - across emergency medicine, urgent care, and outpatient psychiatry - I began to notice patterns that deeply concerned me. Many patients felt rushed through appointments, unheard, and treated with approaches that focused only on symptoms rather than the whole person. Things felt missed.

A Personal Shift in Perspective

Becoming a mother to premature babies during the early days of the pandemic brought both joy and stress, and it pushed me to reflect on what truly supports one’s mental and emotional well-being.

Along with other challenging life experiences, it strengthened my belief that mental health care needs to look beyond just diagnoses and prescriptions.

Creating Full Bloom Integrative and Functional Health

Full Bloom grew from a desire to offer something more. More accessible. More personalized. More collaborative.

While I did (and still do) believe in the strong value of traditional medicine, I felt there was more.

I wanted to create a space where patients feel heard, respected, and supported - where care looks at the full picture of mental health, including lifestyle, biology, environment, and personal history.

Today, my work focuses on helping individuals better understand their mental health and explore personalized paths toward lasting wellness. If you’re looking for a personalized and elevated approach to mental health care, I’m here to help.
